Job description
At Iris van Herpen we are looking for an enthusiastic Textile and Handwork developer. This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam.
The activities are:
Working closely together with the 'Head of atelier' on developing Haute Couture gowns from sketch to finish. In this role you are the point of contact for our suppliers and for the communication with our collaborators such as embroidery and 3D- printing companies. Under supervision of the 'Head of Atelier' you are aligning the technical development in-house with our suppliers. All innovative handwork development will be guided by you. In this role, you are responsible for the day to day guidance of our intern team.
Job requirements
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
- Experience in the fashion field with focus on textile development
- Experience in working with garment patterns
- Experience with creating embroidery specs
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent handwork and draping skills
- Preferred experience in leading a team
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Command of the industry jargon in English
- Patient, innovative, curious, hands on mindset and eye for detail
- Flexible working attitude is a must
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
