The Iris van Herpen team is seeking a talented and highly organized Interdisciplinary Designer. This position is ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of art, fashion, design, and technology — someone who can translate Iris van Herpen her vision into tangible designs objects, installations, and exhibitions.

In this role, you will work closely with Iris van Herpen and team to bring multidisciplinary projects to life — combining conceptual depth with technical precision. You will help shape the creative dialogue across diverse mediums while ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and organization throughout each process.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Organizational Support in the Design Process
Collaborate with Iris&team to develop and realize design concepts across fashion, product design, and spatial or exhibition projects. Your input will span from early ideation to execution, ensuring each project embodies the brand’s vision of innovation and artistry.

Design Objects & Multidisciplinary Projects & collaborations
Creation and development of design objects beyond fashion — including sculptural works, installations, and experimental design pieces — fostering dialogue between form, material, and technology.

Exhibition & Installation Design
Contribute to the creative and logistical development of exhibitions, from concept through execution. Support curation, spatial design, and the translation of Iris’s artistic vision into immersive experiences.

R&D Support
Contribute to research, development, and execution of experimental projects, balancing innovation with precision and material sensitivity.

Job requirements

The skills, qualifications and experience required for this job are:

  •  BA or MA in (product) design / architecture

  •  Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D design tools such as Rhino,  

  •  SketchUp, or Fusion 360.

  • Strong conceptual and technical design skills, with sensitivity to form, material, and spatial composition.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.

  • Enthusiastic, high-energy approach with flexibility in working hours.

  • Excellent communication skills - spoken and written
